
Opening of a competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the Gabriel Pereira School Group, Évora, for the four-year period 2026-2030.
It was published in the Official Gazette. Notice No. 7857/2026/02, which determines the opening of the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of Group of Schools Gabriel Pereira, Évora.
In accordance with the provisions of Articles 21 and 22 of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, as amended by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2, and Article 5 of Ordinance No. 604/2008, of July 9, it is hereby announced that the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of the Gabriel Pereira School Group of Évora is open for a period of 10 working days, starting from the day following the publication of this notice in the Official Gazette, 2nd series.
The competitive selection process is advertised as follows: in the window of the administrative services of the main school of the Gabriel Pereira School Group; on the Group's website; and in a nationally distributed newspaper.
Requirements and application process
Candidates for the competitive selection process may include career teachers in the public education system or qualified teachers with permanent contracts in private and cooperative education, in both cases with at least five years of service and qualifications to perform school administration and management functions.
Teachers are considered qualified to perform school administration and management functions if they meet one of the following conditions:

- They must hold specific qualifications for the purpose, in accordance with points b) and c) of paragraph 1 of article 56 of the Statute of the Teaching Career of Early Childhood Educators and Teachers of Basic and Secondary Education;
- They must have experience corresponding to at least one full term in the positions of director, deputy director or assistant director, president or vice-president of the executive board, executive director or assistant executive director, or member of the board of directors and/or executive board;
- They must have at least three years of experience as a director or pedagogical director of a private or cooperative educational institution.
Formal application must be submitted by submitting a request, as stipulated in Article 22-A of Decree-Law No. 75/2008 of April 22, amended by Decree-Law No. 137/2012 of July 2, to the administrative offices of the main school, addressed to the President of the General Council. The request must be accompanied by the following documents in paper format, under penalty of exclusion:
- Curriculum vitae detailed, A dated, signed, and up-to-date statement containing: your academic and professional qualifications; the positions you have held; and any other duly documented information you deem relevant for assessing your merit.
- Intervention project in the Grouping, This document should contain: identification of problems; definition of the mission, goals, and main lines of action; and an explanation of the Strategic Plan to be implemented during the term. In its entirety, this document may not exceed 20 pages, including annexes, in font size [size not specified]. Times New Roman 12, 1.5 line spacing.
- Declaration authenticated by the originating service. which includes the category, employment status, grade, and length of service (except if the teacher is a member of the Gabriel Pereira School Group's staff);
- Photocopy of document proving possession of qualification. for the exercise of school administration and management functions, which must include accreditation registration, such as specialized training, from the CCPFC, when applicable;
- Photocopy, if authorized by the candidate, of the Citizen Card.. If authorization is not granted, the Administrative Services will take note of the necessary data present in this documentation and verify its authenticity;
- Declaration of consent for the collection and processing of data.
Evaluation of applications
The selection method is defined in the Regulations for the Election of the Director of the Gabriel Pereira School Group, available on the Group's website and in the respective administrative services of the Main School, namely:
- Analysis of Curriculum vitae of each candidate, aiming to assess its relevance to the performance of the duties of Director and its merit;
- Analysis of the Intervention Project in the School Cluster, aiming to assess its relevance in the different schools of the Group and the coherence between the problems diagnosed, the intervention strategies proposed, as well as the resources to be mobilized for this purpose;
- Results of the individual interview conducted with the candidate., aiming to objectively assess the motivation for the application, the ability to provide justification, and the suitability of the Intervention Project to the reality of the Group.
The aforementioned interview, to be conducted with each of the admitted candidates, will have a maximum duration of sixty minutes and the candidate will be notified by email at least two working days in advance.
