Opening of a competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the Palmela School Group, for the four-year period 2026-2030.
It was published in the Official Gazette. Notice No. 7740/2026/2, which determines the opening of the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of Group of Schools from Palmela.
In accordance with the provisions of Articles 21 and 22 of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, as amended by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2, and other applicable legislation, it is hereby announced that the competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the Palmela School Group, municipality of Palmela and district of Setúbal, is open. 10 business days deadline, starting from the day following the publication of this notice in the Official Gazette.
Requirements and application process
The admission requirements for the competition are those set out in points 3 and 4 of article 21 of Decree-Law no. 75/2008, of April 22, as amended by Decree-Law no. 137/2012, and other applicable legislation.
To the Applications must be formalized by means of a request., in its own model, available at Group's website,or in Administrative services of the school headquarters of the school cluster., Hermenegildo Capelo Basic School, addressed to the President of the General Council of the School Group. Applications may be submitted in person to the Administrative Services of the main school building, Rua da Escola Preparatória Hermenegildo Capelo n.º 2, 2950-246 Palmela, during normal office hours, or sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, dispatched within the deadline set for the submission of applications.
O The application for admission must be accompanied by the following documentation., under penalty of exclusion:
- Curriculum vitae detailed, A dated, signed, and up-to-date statement detailing academic, professional, and specialized training, teaching experience, and experience in school administration and management, accompanied by the mandatory documentary proof of the information contained therein;
- Intervention project at the Palmela School Group, The project, with original content, must be in digital format (PDF) and on paper, with pages numbered in the lower right margin and initialed in the upper right margin, and dated and signed on the last page. The candidate must identify the problems, define the mission, goals, and main guidelines for action, as well as explain the strategic plan to be implemented during the term. The Intervention Project for the Palmela School Group must be written in Trebuchet MS font, size 10, 1.5 line spacing, 12-point paragraph spacing, a maximum of 15 pages, A4 size, without annexes or appendices;
- Updated and authenticated statement from the originating service., which includes the category, the employment status, and the length of service;
- Photocopy of document proving academic qualifications.;
- Photocopy of supporting document from possessing the qualification for the exercising the functions of school administration and management.;
- If the candidate authorizes it, photocopy of Citizen Card or Identity Card and Tax Identification Number; If authorization is not granted, the Administrative Services of the Palmela School Group will take note of the necessary data present in this documentation and verify its authenticity.;
- Candidates can also submit any other elements, duly documented evidence that they consider relevant for assessing its merit.
Evaluation of applications
Applications will be evaluated considering:
- Analysis of Curriculum vitae in terms of its relevance to the performance of the duties of a director and its merit;
- Analysis of the intervention project at the Palmela School Group At the level of identifying problems, strategies to implement, goals to achieve, and resources to be mobilized for the project's operationalization, the project's relevance to the school cluster and its understanding of the socio-educational context will also be evaluated.;
- Analysis of the individual interview with the candidate., in terms of clarifying and deepening aspects related to the previous points, the candidate's personal skills, the motivations for the application, and the suitability of the intervention project to the reality of the school cluster.
The results of the competitive selection process are published in a list of admitted and excluded candidates, posted in an appropriate location on the premises of the main school and published on the school's website, within a maximum of fifteen working days after the deadline for submitting applications. This is the only way candidates will be notified.
