Opening of a competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the D. Maria II School Group – Sintra.

It was published in the Official Gazette. Notice 6768_2026_02which determines the opening of the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of D. Maria II School Group, Sintra

The procedure runs for a period of 10 working days, starting from the day after the publication of the notice, and falls within the provisions of Articles 22, 22-A and 22-B of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2.

Requirements and application process

The admission requirements for the competitive procedure are those set out in Article 21 of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2.

Applications must be formalized by means of a request on a specific form, available on the website of the School Group, addressed to the President of the General Council of the D. Maria II School Group, Sintra, based at the Gama Barros Basic and Secondary School, Sintra. Applications may be submitted in person at the main school's office, by prior appointment via telephone or email, subject to confirmation, or sent by registered mail, dispatched by the deadline set for the submission of applications.

The application must include the following elements:

  • Full identification, name, parentage, marital status, place of birth, date of birth, number
    and the date of the identity card/citizen card, its validity and issuing service, taxpayer identification number, address, postal code, telephone or mobile phone number and email address;
  • Academic Qualifications and professional situation;
  • Identifying the position you are applying for., referencing the date and publication of the respective notice in the Official Gazette.

The application for admission (application form) must be accompanied by the following documents, otherwise the application will be excluded:

  • Curriculum vitae, detailed, dated, signed and updated, where the following are listed, respectively:
    The functions performed, the professional training possessed, duly proven, will not be considered;
  • Intervention Project in the School Group, where the problems are identified, if

Documentary proof of the elements included in the curriculum vitae is mandatory, with the exception of those that are filed in the respective individual file located at the school cluster where the procedure is taking place.

Evaluation of applications

The selection methods (to be used for evaluating the application) are as follows:

  • Analysis of curriculum vitae, of each candidate, specifically for the purpose of assessing their relevance to the role of director and their merit;
  • Analysis of the intervention project in the School Group, aiming to assess the relevance of such a project and the coherence between the problems diagnosed and the proposed intervention strategies, and the resources to be mobilized for this purpose;
  • The result of individual interview conducted with the candidate, which aims to delve deeper into aspects related to points a) and b) of this section and to assess the motivations behind the application.
