Opening of a competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the Olaias School Group, Lisbon, for the four-year period 2026-2030.

It was published in the Official Gazette. Notice No. 8154/2026/02which determines the opening of the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of Group of Schools Olaias, Lisbon.

In accordance with Articles 21 and 22 of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, republished by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2, it is hereby announced that the preliminary competitive recruitment procedure for the position of director of the Olaias School Group is open for a period of 10 working days from the day following the publication of this notice in the 2nd series of the Diário da República (Official Gazette).

Requirements and application process

Applications must be formalized by means of a request, in its own model, available in website of the Olaias School Group and in the administrative services of the main school building From the Group, addressed to the president of the general council.

To the Applications are submitted in paper format., in a sealed envelope, in person, at the administrative offices of the school headquarters of the Group, Escola Básica das Olaias, located at Rua Professor Mira Fernandes, 1900-383 Lisbon, during office hours, or addressed to the President of the General Council, sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, dispatched before the deadline set for the submission of applications.

The request must be accompanied by the following documents, under penalty of exclusion:

  • Curriculum vitae detailed, dated and signed, with full identification, academic qualifications, professional status, functions performed and professional training;
  • Intervention Project in the School Group, This document should not exceed fifteen pages, excluding attachments, A4 size, typed in Trebuchet MS font, size 11, 1.5 spacing and normal margins, containing:
    • Identifying the problems;
    • Defining the mission, goals, and guidelines for action;
    • Explanation of the strategic plan for the term in office at the Olaias School Group;
  • Photocopy of citizen card, authorized by the person himself;
  • Authenticated statement from the originating service., indicating category, employment status, rank, and length of service;
  • Documentary proof of qualification;
  • Documentary proof of the elements contained in the curriculum vitae. 

Candidates may also submit any other duly documented elements that they consider relevant to the assessment of their competence. Any optional elements submitted without unequivocal proof will not be taken into account in the evaluation of the application.

All the aforementioned documentation must be submitted in a sealed envelope, stating the candidate's name and indicating that this is a competitive selection process for the position of director of the Olaias School Group.

Evaluation of applications

Applications are evaluated by a committee specifically appointed for this purpose by the general council, in accordance with the regulations, which are available on the Group's website:

  • Analysis of curriculum vitae, specifically for the purpose of assessing their relevance to the performance of the duties of Director and their merit, considering their specific qualifications, professional training, professional experience and other relevant curricular elements;
  • Analysis of the intervention project in the Grouping from the Olaias Schools, at the level of identifying problems, the proposed mission, the strategies to be implemented, the goals to be achieved and the clarification of the main lines of orientation and action, with relevance and knowledge of the socio-educational context to which it is intended;
  • Analysis of the individual interview, in terms of clarifying, deepening and arguing aspects related to the previous paragraphs.
