
AGSE is a partner in the AIDA for Teachers project AIDA for Teachers – Artificial Intelligence Assistant and Digital Self-Assessment for the Teachers’ Continuing Professional Development, Artificial Intelligence Assistant and Digital Self-Assessment for the Teachers’ Continuing Professional Developm - funded by Erasmus+ Programme, under Action KA220-SCHand coordinated by the General Directorate of Education in Turkey.
The project aims to promote lifelong learning amongst teachers through the development of self-assessment tools and personalised training recommendations using AI, based on the six areas of competence/domains identified as essential to teaching professionalism: Teaching Competences; Digital Competences; Leadership and Mentoring Skills; Interpersonal Skills; Inclusion Skills; and Reflective and Professional Development Skills.
The project consortium, comprising 22 members from higher education institutions and public bodies in Portugal (AGSE), da Italy (University of Florence), de Spain (University of Granada),, da Germany (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) e da and Turkey (General Inspectorate of Education, Hacettepe University and the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education), held its third training activity (LTTA) and fourth in-person consortium meeting in Granada, Spain, from 16 to 18 June. AGSE was represented by Dr Lília Vicente, Dr Fernando Alexandre from the Department of Human Resources and the CFAE Network, and Dr Célia Garcia from the Department of Teachers’ Career Management.
The next step in the project will be to test the AI tool that has been developed with a group of teachers in each of the participating countries, with a view to making any necessary improvements based on their feedback regarding its usefulness and any difficulties encountered in using it.
