AGSAND, IP, to thesome competepowers of the defunct Institute of Financial Management of Education, IP.

The Agency for the Management of the Education System, IP., assumes, from March 1, 2026, the powers previously assigned to Institute for Financial Management of Education (IGeFE) – Institute for Financial Management of Education, IP., following the conclusion of the process to decommission this organization.

The extinction of IGeFE, IP., This falls within the process of reorganizing the Public Administration and reforming the Education sector, as established in Order No. 919-A/2026, published in the Official Gazette on January 27th.

Skills assuredas by AGSE, IP.

A AGSE, IP succeeds to the duties and responsibilities, as well as the rights, obligations and contractual positions of IGeFE, IP – as defined in Decree-Law No. 99/2025 Decree-Law No. 99/2025 -, with the exception of matters of centralized management of the processing of salaries and allowances due to employees of the bodies, services and agencies of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MECI)), including the teaching and technical staff of schools, for the acquisition of goods and services that are not specific to the activity of MECI, which are transferred to ESPAP, IP.

The assumption of duties by AGSE, IP., ensures the continuity of services and Ongoing procedures are underway, aiming to ensure a more integrated and less bureaucratic management model.

Within the scope of this transition, all contacts and communications related to the areas previously handled by IGeFE, IP., should now be carried out together with AGSE, IP, preferably through the official channels provided for this purpose.

The creation of AGSE, IP., Its aim is to simplify and centralize the management of the education system, promoting greater administrative efficiency, reducing institutional fragmentation, and improving the service provided to educational communities, ensuring a more effective and coordinated response to the system's needs.

Publication of the final lists of ranking, placement, non-placement, exclusion and withdrawal from Internal Mobility, of the Extraordinary External Competition 2025/2026. Candidates now placed must accept the placement in the SIGRHE computer application, from 00:00 on Monday, February 23, until 23:59 on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 (local time).
