Opening of a competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of School Group from Viana do Alentejo
It was published in the Official Gazette. Notice No. 11962/2026, which determines the opening of the competitive procedure prior to the election of the director of the Viana do Alentejo School Group.
In accordance with the provisions of Articles 21 and 22 of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, and with
the changes introduced by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2, and in Article 5 of the Ordinance
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Decree No. 604/2008 of July 9, that the competitive procedure prior to the election of the Director of the Viana do Alentejo School Group is open for a period of 10 working days, starting from the day following the publication of this notice in the Official Gazette, 2nd series.
Admission requirements
The admission requirements for the competition are those set out in Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of 22 of
April, with the amendments introduced by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2.
The competitive selection process is advertised as follows: on the notice board of the Administrative Services of the Main School of the Viana do Alentejo School Group; on the Group's website; in a nationally distributed newspaper.
Candidates for the competitive selection process may include career teachers in the public education system or qualified teachers with permanent contracts in private and cooperative education, in both cases with at least five years of service and qualifications to perform school administration and management functions.
Teachers are considered qualified to perform school administration and management functions if they meet at least one of the following conditions:
a) Possess specific qualifications for the purpose, in accordance with points b) and c) of paragraph 1 of article 56 of the Statute of the Teaching Career of Early Childhood Educators and Teachers of Basic and Secondary Education;
b) Possess experience corresponding to at least one full term in the exercise of school management or leadership positions, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, as amended by Decree-Law No. 137/2012, of July 2, as well as the regimes provided for in Decree-Law No. 115-A/98, of May 4, amended by Law No. 24/99, of April 22, and by Decree-Law No. 75/2008, of April 22, in Decree-Law No. 172/91, of May 10, and in Decree-Law No. 769-A/76, of October 23;
c) Possess a minimum of three years' experience as a director or pedagogical director of a private or cooperative educational establishment;
d) Present a relevant curriculum in the area of school management and administration, recognized by the commission foreseen in paragraph 4 of article 22 of Decree-Law no. 75/2008, of April 22, as amended by Decree-Law no. 137/2012, of July 2.
Formalization of the candidacy
Applications must be submitted by means of:
Application for this purpose, as provided for in Article 22-A of Decree-Law No. 75/2008 of April 22, amended by Decree-Law No. 137/2012 of July 2, to the Administrative Services of the Main School, addressed to Notice No. 11962/2026/2
1/3 2nd series No. 98 21-05-2026 to the President of the General Council, and must be accompanied by the following documents in paper format, under penalty of exclusion:
- Curriculum vitae, detailed, dated, and signed;
- Intervention project in the School Cluster;
- Authenticated statement from the originating service indicating the candidate's category, employment status, and length of service.;
- Certified photocopy of document proving academic qualifications.s;
- Certified photocopy of professional training certificates.;
- Photocopy of citizen card.
Evaluation of applications
Applications will be evaluated considering:
- Analysis of each candidate's Curriculum Vitae., aiming to assess its relevance to the performance of the duties of Director and its merit;
- Analysis of the Intervention Project in the School Cluster, aiming to assess its relevance in the different schools of the Group and the coherence between the problems diagnosed, the intervention strategies proposed, as well as the resources to be mobilized for this purpose;
- The result of the individual interview This assessment was conducted with the candidate to objectively evaluate their motivation for applying, their ability to provide supporting arguments, and the suitability of their Intervention Project to the reality of the school cluster.
